Not exactly. I started out with the yard to windward (sail twisted),
switched the yard to the other side, then went about, with the result
that the yard was still on the windward side, but now on the same side
of the mast as the halyard block, whereas, before, the block was on the
opposite side. This resulted in less twist, for some reason. My reason
for doing this was to see what the effect of the block position was on
the twist. I haven't been out for a couple weekends, so I haven't been
able to refine the experiment. I'd better hurry up -- it's getting cold
here. We supposedly went down to 35 degrees F (2 C)last night.

I've thought about dipping. From the descriptions I've read, it requires
a relatively expert crew to take advantage of the dipping lugsail. This
crew does not yet qualify.
