My reason for listing GN as an exception in the chronological structure
was not that it's hard to think of a time when it might have been set,
but rather that there are no references in it, or of course in any of
the other books, which force it to be set at any particular time in relation
to the others. Whereas for SD, CC, WH, PP, WDM, B6 and P&M
there are such references. In most cases, if I remember correctly, lots of them.

As a separate point, I seem to remember somebody saying on Tarboard that
the breeding season for GN divers is too early in the year for GN to be set in
the school summer holidays. I don't know whether it could be made
to fit with the Whit mid-term break.
