One of the original participants in the Kinder Scout Mass Trespass
would tell the story of how he was stopped by a gamekeeper.
Their discussion went something like this:
"You can't go there - all this land is owned by my boss."
"What right does he have to it?"
"His ancestors fought for it hgundreds of years ago."
"Well then, I'll fight you for it."
