I guess AR had to invent Sinbad's Creek to give something to distract Titty so they would end up being Egyptians in the Red Sea.

Has the water level changed a bit over that past 70 years? A quick look at the ordinance survey (on Multimap.com) makes it look as though the explorers' map is slightly off in a couple of areas. The biggest discrepancy appears to be around the northwest passage bit where it looks like there are a number of small islands or sandbars where they mapped a large island (I forget now what they named it). There seems to be other little differences as well. I seem to remember a thread about this a while ago, but couldn’t find it on the forum, so I apologize if this has already been covered.
