There is a spectacular sailing simulator (alliteration not intended)
at www.hangsim.com/vs. Called Virtual Sailor v.6 it's the best one
I've ever seen. There is a demo you can download from this site. I was
wondering if anyone has used the full version, and if so, opinions?
Judging from the demo it must be pretty good. It contains excellent
underwater shots of the hull of your craft cutting through the waves.
Sitting in the cockpit watching the waves roll past is just like
the real thing. Now all I need do is turn on the fan and the illusion
would be perfect. Why not just sail in a real boat? Alas, I had to
sell my 27 foot sloop because it was just too expensive to maintain.
Comments on this simulator would be most welcome. Sympathy too.
