It happens that the Nobel Prize winnner in Literature will be announced today (thursday oct 10) at 1 o´clock.
But the winner´s name will not be Arthur Ransome as they never award an author posthumosly.
A matter of fact is that the Swedish Academy has never awarded an author of childrens books. Which may be due to another sad fact, namely that there has never been a member of the academy who is an author of childrens books himself. I suppose that the academy members own interests are reflected in the choice if the awarded authors.
