Another advantage of converting it to eg Word format would be that it would allow searching for phrases which break across an end of line, which you've said in the past is a limitation at present.

I often convert from ASCII to Word format using the following search and replace commands in Word (assuming the ASCII has a blank line between paragraphs):
- Replace "^p^p" with "qwert" (replaces all new paragraph marks with some text that will never occur in the book)
- Replace "^p" with " " (replaces all end of lines with a space)
- Replace "qwert" with "^p^p" (returns all the "qwert"s to new paragraph marks).

Just a thought - I too would have thought there were advantages to having the text in a wordprocessor.

Cheers
Patrick
