Dan -

Be sure you have the proper tools on board, like a gramaphone and a decent wireless. These need to be of the type that can be operated simultaneously. Be sure you have the proper input to the gramaphone so that it can be sure to produce the expected sounds of "begging all the world never to leave him, not to deceive him, bang, bang, bang,
tinkle, tinkle, tinkle." Hopefully enought power is provided for this unit so that folks in the next province can also enjoy the beauty of that wonderful music.

Be careful of pilings that seem to stand quite alone, that will just seem to appear from nowhere, especially when unexpected.

Also, do check out bank-side locations as prospective mooring sites, as there have been known surprising results of choosing to moor where the locals seem to have some sort of objection for some stupid reason.

It may take some practice, but you need to develop the skill of being able to run full speed head on into the midst of tightly packed racing sailing vessels so they can have the delightful benefit of a rather resounding bow wave.

Most of all, have a SAFE trip, wherever you go. Enjoy the delights of the cruise, remembering those that have gone before, in fact and fiction.

We are all with you, one way or another...
