Indeed. But it'll usually be half a litre, not an accurate 'pinte'. And they sell bread and several other goods (depending how deep in the country you are) in 'livres', but again, it's really another word for half a kilo, not for 450gms.

And even this summer I heard people in a country market talking in old francs. However those really are dying out- the users, I mean. To most French people now, they're just meaningless zeroes.
