Here is a picture of Isabella Curwen, a cousin of Fletcher Christian, of Mutiny on the Bounty fame, and one of that collection of Cumberland-Manx families. She was an heiress whose guardian, a cousin called John Christian, cunningly married. He used part of the proceeds to buy Belle Island for her.
