Good points all. I was being swayed by "real" Geography with Pigeon Post, which is always an error! Kanchenjunga was what put Swallowdale further North for me, but on that basis then PM involves a trip to the village at the north of the lake which would be further north even than the North Pole...
So I like your list.
Pure geographical naivity on my part put Missee Lee south of Crab Island!
