I have good quality reception here in London (within direct sight of the main Crystal Palace transmitter) and that's certainly not so for me. Both pictures (analogue and digital) are excellent and reliable. I use a Freeview PVR box, and a decent normal LCD set, and although very occasionally, out of curiosity, I look at the analogue broadcast, I always go back to digital after a very short time.
I know that in the USA the quality of broadcast analogue TV can be awful, but that's a whole different story. And of course the reason that cable TV is so popular there.
