Yes, I think you may be right. In 1988, when I was promoting the East Anglia book, I spent a marvellously convivial evening in The Swan as guest of local sailors. Among their recollections of the filming was that Rosemary Leach was known to drop in to that hostelry at the end of the day and she was less than impressed with the little girls who were the 'darlings' of the producer.
Sadly one of the three local lads, who were such splendid D&G's, took his own life a few years later.
