You might be right about a project started and then neglected though - it stirs some memory in my mind. I'd have to leaf through the books to find it.
AR himself started plenty of projects as a young boy. His autobiography details his plans for becoming a millionaire by breeding white mice, making spills (for lamp lighting, I think?), and many more which his father despaired of.
