Helen, the certified first-class aunt is mentioned in the autobiography, when Arthur was 17 or so.
"My mother was horrified at the idea of my thinking of writing as a sole means of making a living. One of her sisters had written several novels, and this Aunt Helen, who towards the end of her life was my great friend and valued critic of my children's books, was brought in to make me see sense."
Good thing she didn't succeed! :o)
