Thanks, Owen. The legal situation is pretty much what I thought. I rechecked the expedition to the mine in PM, the last information that we have, and reminded myself that Slater Bob was still doing exploratory sampling rather than attempting production.
Since the next stage would probably have been some multinational company strip-mining the Lake District and haggling over Timothy's percentage, it's probably just as well that the series ended when it did.
