Yes, Timothy was on the site most days, but I think I am right in saying that there were two days when he was seen going in the other direction, i.e. towards Rio. On one of those days he had a driver, Dick Elleray. He was seen at the Rio chemist's but he can't have been there all day. Perhaps he had an appointment with the land agent of the E**l of L***d**e to negotiate the mineral licence. If lawyers were involved, that would have taken months but I think we have to allow a bit of 'author's licence' here.
While I am at it, here is Question 2 of the Exam Paper:
Roger Walker was the person who actually discovered the vein of copper ore. What are his rights (if any) in this respect, and could he enforce them?
