Yes Robert. This particular programme was broadcast between 9 and 12 at night on what was then the Light Programme. It was primarily a light musical programme introduced by, if I remember correctly, John Dunne. They would have about a five to seven second snatch of speech by the mystery voice and the contestant had to guess who. It's still around on various programmes in much the same form.
At the time, about 1970, I was living in a small village in Northamptonshire and driving down to Hertford to play snooker with long-standing friends when I heard this item. I was familiar with AR's voice having heard his earlier broadcasts on fishing on the Home Service which I believe are in the TARS library.
