A very good appraisal, Chris.
I was told not long after the movie came out that they went for young sailors first and foremost and circulated sailing clubs. In Kit Seymour and Simon West they found two excellent young sailors who were, perhaps, the weakest performers. I suspect that this could very well be the case if this film is made, although there must be many more in cadet sections than there were in the 1970s. At least Kit looked the part.
For me, Suzanna carried the film, turning Susan into an attractive personality, bursting out of her tent ', , , and she's going bathing!'
