Peter, I heartily agree with you. People seem to be so sensitive these days. When I say something that seems perfectly reasonable to me, someone is sure to complain. Like you, I feel like saying, "Bog off!" Andy Bolger got upset with me because I mentioned I was tired of hearing Socialist jargon. Canada is dreadfully politically correct now. A few months ago, took someone took me to task for objecting to the idea of legalizing marijuana in Vancouver. I pointed out the example of Amsterdam. I first went there in 1963, again in 1976 and most lately in 1998. The last time it was horrible. This once proud, clean city was full of hopheads stumbling around, the canals were filthy and there was garbage all over the streets. I don't want Vancouver to become another Amsterdam. As soon as American youth hear about legal pot in Vancouver, the invasion will be on. Now I know I will be inundated by dozens of furious AR fans, all telling me how out of touch I am, how harmless marijuana is, etc. etc. blah, blah... How sensitive people are. How easily they are upset. When someone disagrees furiously with me, I smile sadly, shake my head and muse upon the vanity of mankind.
