I must explain why I said I think "Wild Cat" refers to a stray cat. This is the case in new Zealand, we have wild cats, which have probably filled the ecological niche of the Scottish wild cats, they are lean and dark-coloured creatures, seemingly backwardly evolving from the house cat to something much less tame. They are officially called "feral" cats. I am relived to learn that there is a wild cat species, because when my japanese friends re-interpreted "wild" as "stray" it seeemed so disappointing a term for The Terror of The Seas.
