Yes, building a wherry (or two) might be pushing it. How about the junk “Shining Moon” in ML that they sailed back from the Three Islands to England (Cornwall) in?

Wasn’t the “Sea Bear” in GN based on the “Teddy”, a former Norwegian pilot cutter. In “The Cruise of the Teddy” by Erling Tambs, he says “The Teddy” was 40 feet long and of 25 tons, with one main cabin.

AR wrote an introduction to this book too?
