TARS and vitriol
As a member of TARS I would just like to say don’t judge TARS by TARBOARD. The specific topic of court cases etc. is far more prominent on TARBOARD than it is among TARS face to face or in print. And more generally, internet discussion boards are more susceptible than other media to the agitation caused by clumsy attempts at humour, misunderstandings and intemperate ripostes. (I plead guilty to all three). So don’t be put off joining TARS by a fear of entering the snake pit.
