S&A is set later in the summer than Swallowdale, yet "Vicky's" second
birthday occurs during S&A, whilst Bridget's third birthday has already
happened by the start of Swallowdale. - Robert
No, in S&A the birthday occurs after the signing of the Swallow-Amazon treaty which is dated August 1929
And as I pointed back in post 11372, Bridget's is the only birthday other than Susan's that can be dated closely. The Katchenjunga climb was on August 11. The next day Mrs Walker says "You know it'll be Bridgie's birthday in a few days".
(And what happened to my post 11388: It seens to have changed content and author?
It's of no great import. I was just citing the same S&A Chapter 10 observaton on the relative sizes of the chracters that Robert has in the previous post)
