A good response to a difficult question, and the original post made me uneasy with the wholesale rubbishing of a political theory with 'Marxist nonsense'. I am tempted to ask what reaction I would receive if I talked of 'Christian nonsense', 'Tory nonsense' ('Republican nonsense' for our USA friends)?

The fact that a work of fiction raises a whole variety of questions on many issues is a tribute to the writer concerned, but to dismiss such thoughts you disagree with by using any handy flippant remark just devalues both.
