Ahoy!
I created a home page titled "Ransome Songs" which contains the lyrics (both
English and Japanese) and melodies (MIDI data) of many sea shanties sung by the
Swallows and Amazons. The page contains also two songs of which Ransomish
lyrics Peter "Nankai no kyofu" wrote based on English songs of "Jerusalem" and
"Rule Britannia".
The Japanese lyrics of some songs were translated from the original English
lyrics by Observatory-san, Minnow-san, and Pockut-san (all are ARC members
and devotees of sea shanties -- so am I), so that we can sing the sea shanties
also in Japanese, though I'm afraid most of you may not be able to read.
Pockut-san's native husband created beautifully arranged MIDI data for all these
songs.
So, this home page could not be born without such dedicated efforts by these
ARC members I'm proud of being associated with.
Please click on the link shown below and enjoy! If your browser is enabled for
playing MIDI data, music will automagically be played when you open the page of
each song.

your browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) to play MIDI data. Click here.
Alternatively, you can use YAMAHA MIDPLUG optionally with software
synthesizer which is supposed to produce better-quality sound. You can
