Dash it. I was about to post on this - but Peter has beaten me to it. What I want to know is whether this marks the start of a New Literary Era on the Archers ("the Archers are real, there is no cast") or just a temporary aberration like the occasion when Elizabeth revealed that she had read a book once.
Nice to see Ransome has got a mention on the Archers at last. As in so many things, the Chalet School (Joy makes list) got there first since it is months since Alice revealed that she was an enthusiastic reader of Chalet School books when Mean Old Peggy wouldn't let her buy any at the village fete.
