did AR ever use a jacket picture on his books?

I was looking around for a picture or photo of Arthur Ransome lately, and not finding any on any of the copies of the books I have (half US-market paperbacks, half Red Fox paperbacks, plus one Jonathan Cape hardcover), I was wondering if there was a reason...

Just not usually done at that time, he didn't like them, or what?
