I am sure that if Jethro Tull had existed at the time of Ransome then they would have been listed in the books. (I am entitled to my warped opinion, my shrink has said so {Dad is a shrink})

I would suggest that the best Jethro Tull album is Heavy Horses. (Again personal opinion.) Songs from the Woods is great just a tad below. In this comparsion however, I would of course point to the great James Herriot Christmas Cake story as defence of the use of a tad of a difference, and to my way of thinking it is that close.

Of course I spent a very enjoyable November 1978 day studying for engineering exams listening to my new Heavy Horses album and eating an entire Christmas plum cake in one sitting. If you think it can get better than that - then you are probably correct but it would involve a blue lagoon.......................

I can not say that the other JT albums are as good as these three.

Of course Local Hero by Dire Straits is very good.
