On a point of pedantry - wasn't "Local Hero" by Mark Knopfler rather than by Dire Straits ? I entirely agree that it is an excellent album.

I reckon that the title song on Tull's "Heavy Horses" is far and away the standout track on the album, whereas while "Songs from the Wood" does not have any track of the same quality, it is a better standard throughout.

Either way, lying on the desert island, reading the Bible, Shakespeare & Swallowdale, listening to Tull and Knopfler, sounds idyllic for a while......but then one would need to find a way of escaping, and Swallowdale comes fully equipped with instructions on how to raise a sunken boat, patch the hole, raise a jury rig and prepare a new mast - seems a pretty obvious choice, really !
