I will have to read Bohemia in London before I comment further.

After having read a lot of mystery stories, there is a lot of the Riddle in those later stories. I see elements of the Riddle in the 39 steps.

But I am not sure of the plot devices in Racundra other than a narrative of a set of adventures. I can not see the cleverness of Dick coming out in Racundra merely a pretty good sailor who got into scrapes and unlike some poor sailors lived to tell the tales. As John lived through his tales.

But as with all things AR there are great things to discuss.
