Both of these locations, which I check out on a daily basis, have referred to today (Dec 26) with the label, "BOXING DAY", a term that at least in my part of the world has no real significance. Could we get some definition as to what that term is all about?
Did a search in ALL 12 Ransome stories; there is no reference to "Boxing". So I ask this in spite of perhaps a lack of "on subject" correctness. It is just another facet in trying to understand another place with different customs, a place that Ransome took me to, and filled me with wonder and marvel.
