So, Ed, what did you think of Riddle? I ask this hesitatingly because it's one of my favorite books of all time, but I'd be very interested in your reaction.

For that matter, why do you think Titty thought it wouldn't be her kind of book? As you say, it has maps (very good ones, too), which I would have thought would have appealed to Titty. It also has some terrific sailing scenes and an excellent mystery. I’m surprised she didn’t take to it right away.
