Found it - In PP, "Hurrying Moles", Titty is urging Roger (& the D's) to speed it up crossing Ling Scarr:
"Go it, Rogie," said Titty. Remember poor old Susie."
"Poor old hen," said Roger, and ... added, "I don't really mean she's a hen."
So now we have Susie, Rogie, and Bridgie. But why is it always Susan who's always "old"?
