Roger is "Roj" in WDMTGTS, something about oilskins is involved. He is even Roj in Japanese [not the usual Roja] [I checked!]
I like the rather endearing Japanese translation of various natives as "Uncle Dixon", "Aunty Jackson" etc but I have not found the intimate honorific "....chan" [as in Titty-chan, Susan-chan or even david-chan] which I guessed would be used to translate words like "Susie". It is used for "Fune no akachan" = Ship's Baby though.
