I found the Dogs' Home back in 1999, the path is well to the south of the obvious car park spot and you just walk up into the trees round a corner and there it is. It seemed larger than I expected, though if you look at the pictures it isn't and it is very dark inside so bring a torch (flashlight Ed!).
