I'm back after a year and a half. At that time I was writing a study for a graduate course in children's literature. I am now teaching 13 and 14 year olds and would like to use the unit I have prepared. I have ordered 14 copies of Swallows and Amazons and hope to take the class through the book all the while introducing sailing, camping and map skills of the Lake District and England.

First of all, I'm wondering if there is any kind of study booklet that has already been prepared for going through the book? Does any one know? I have the questions that are on this website that I can use, but it would be nice if I wouldn't have to go through chapter by chapter and make up my own study guide.

Secondly, a litte more info. We are in Omaha/Bellevue, Nebraska. I am hoping to get back in touch with a man I emailed earlier who build sail boats not far from here. My students are excellent, cheerful students and are enthusiastic about a field trip up to see real sail boats. I also have some parents who are interested as well. The study begins the last week in March and goes to the end of May. An excellent time to be outdoors around here!

You may email me at minich3@cox.net if you have any information that would help me. I'll also stay in touch with this board.

Swallows and Amazons Forever!
