I think I have answered my own question - in Rupert Hart-Davis' Epilogue to the AR Autobiography he writes of an emergency appendec
ectomy in East Anglia,in 1933.Then "convalescence at St Mawes in Cornwall enabled the Ransomes to see a lot of Claude Worth, the yachting expert."
I'd still like to know AR dates in St Mawes, and where he stayed.
So who is Claude Worth?
