Drabble usually talks about Drabble. Or Arnold Bennett. Or Angus Wilson. The Drabble discussion list (very tiny) has recently had a long thread about how (allegedly) Drabble scrupulously avoids certain aspects of English life, and concentrates on white middle-class, professional family background, etc etc. Hmmm.
