I'm not sure how much he reads Tarboard so I hope people with constructive comments have emailed them to him.

Has anyone succeeded in finding where the rumour of the existence of an "eleven" version of the football line came from? I don't remember hearing of it before the recent discussion.

I disagree with Woll's suggestion that the D's went to day schools. There's the line about Dick joining the train at Crewe, for example.

Not too long ago we discussed the matter of whether the Callums lived in London. Did we ever establish that they did?
