I would think that Joshua Solcums book is a must add to the list.
Also the recent sequel to Childers book is a good ripping yarn, not as good as the original but pretty good.
I would add if you like all those authors you would like Buchan - the thirty nine steps is great and Compton Mackenzie - Whiskey Galore is a great read and a good movie.
Exactly why did they shoot Childers?
I took my daughter sailing on Coniston and it is better than any computer, but they need to red beanie.
I have also got Hugh Shelleys book on Ransome - I must say it has some interesting statements in it that I will share when I have a minute, he certainly disputes the current thoughts on the Altyounan Children.
