The 400 60 year old houses in our No Va development now need sewer pipe replacements - generally done by one local 'old family firm'; today they dug once (according to the County house plan) in my front yard & failed. The 'old family' head then asked my wife for a copper clothes hanger, and found the pipe on his next try (I wasn't around so didn't see the technique). (Unless this was part of an ongoing marketing mystique, he said cynically, I'm impressed; you would think there would be some modern device ...)
