The idea that they simply kept changing their minds doesn't stack up for me. If they had a constant fear of someone 'catching up' with them, would not such a constant changing of address be a logical response?
Peter (H) hasn't met my mother she moves as often as Eugenia, or perhaps she too was hunted by the KGB. I'll have to ask her.
