Y'all are the first to know, after me and the missus of course, that we have been approved for an adoption visa for a young girl from China. She will be the newest member of TARS when she arrives in about 8 months.

I would love a pint of Old Man beer right now.

To put the previous sentence from my last email in context using no ambiguity:

John Morgan Nichols invites his father James Johnstone Nichols for a pint of Coniston - Old Man bitter in the Dead Bull and Duck Pub, after the father and son have climbed the mountain called Coniston Old Man.

Of course it would kill him now in his feeble state.

Mine sounds much more human. Dad never objected to being called the Old Man. My brother objected to several names I used for him, could never work out why. My eldest daughter objects to being called the Ferret but I have found that term of endearment gets her attention much faster and she knows I mean it with love. I mean if you call out Ferret in a crowd she knows her AP is about and loud as usual.

Before Peter H asks - yes I embarrass her all the time. It is good for her soul, she knows I love her.
