I fear the 'book cover' discussion has got tied up with legal rights and 'public' wills etc. Could I make a plea for consideration of such unfashionable things as courtesy and consideration? The creation of imitation book covers, however innocent, could easily cause someone to be misled down the line by an unscrupulous, or equally fooled, dealer. Wills are indeed public, but that does not mean that we should dig about in Ransome family affairs. Can we get back to the joy and decency of AR's stories, and let the lawyers argue about what they always argue about? Three million cheers for John, Nancy, Susan, Peggy, Dot, Dick, Titty and Roger.

(I do hope the Canadians will not accuse me of being 'touchy' - I just feel this is not an avenue we should be going down.)
