I don't know why people are so tough on Susan. She comes into her own in 'We Didn't Mean . .', particularly when John nearly goes OB. She was still a child, but something about her bedraggled wet hair and desperate concern for John promises well for adolescence and adulthood. I think she'd make a lovely wife.
