In reply to David's remark about milk straight from the cooler, the milk I collected from the farm in the 40's - 50's tasted absolutely wonderful: I've never tasted the like since! I also used to watch the farmer's wife making the most delicious butter that would probably be condemned out of hand by the pc dieticians of today!
