Your statistics about murders may be correct, but when you take into consideration all violent crime, the facts say otherwise. It has steadily grown exponentially ever since the Brits were forced to give up their LEGALLY OWNED guns - all guns, not just handguns. Add to that the fact that British citizens are being convicted of the crime of defending themselves and their homes by any means whatsoever, and you have a situation that any thinking human being would find intolerable.
I'll take my chances in Florida where, by the way, violent crime - ALL violent crime - has steadily decreased since the right-to-carry law was passed. Guns, legally owned by law-abiding citizens, has been proven to prevent crime. Cry about it all you want; the facts speak for themselves.
