personally I reckon they should be eaten warm/hot - straight from the
shop - the trick then is to nibble a section off at the top and drink
the molten liquor first.

I'm sure the Ransomes would have stopped off on their trips too and
from the Lakes just to partake of this pleasure at its holy source - Skipton.
