I have been asking myself the same question...but I am not British. Well, somebody told me to look for the pies in Tesco, yes there are 2 or 3 Tesco stores in Prague but I wonder whether they do import pork pies, the meal is unknown here, who would buy it?... But I can go and have a look.
For Jock about aspic. Well, you boil pig¨s foot with onions, pepper, salt, bay leaf. When finished, take a mould, pour a little aspic, then add boiled vegetables, like carrots, green peas, broccoli, whatever you want, then aspic, then hard boiled eggs cut to slices, then aspic then ham or meat cut to little pieces and pour aspic once more. And that¨s all. But it seems nobody¨s making it nowadays. My mother in law makes it but she just buys powder aspic in the supermarket.Or, more often, she buys slices of aspic .
And for all of you who seem to know everything about AR: I have often asked myself whether somebody of the Altounyan family is still living.I mean the children who inspired him. And what about the 2 girls who were (at least a little) Peggy and Nancy?
